How to make the most out of exercise?
That was the question the danish top TV health show “Ha det godt” posed last week in their prime time broadcast. The answer? Make a mix for your exercise with these disciplines: Conventional jogging, Gymsticks and Activio heart rate based spinning. The show visited a session with Activios system up and running. For a good part of the program viewers could learn more about heart rate based training and Activios system. Please, check the webbcast version of the show. (aired on the 18 of March).

Prime time Danish TV Show covers spinners using Activio
We are both pleased and flattered by the attention. But even more important – the chance for more people to discover how great it is to know more about the bodies capabilities and what an unique guide the heart rate is for effective and motivational training.
Again, if you want to view the show -please visit Danish TV DR1s web page. And get your skills in the danish language going at the same time.
Health and fitness is Big in Denmark. The Danish Governments Secretary of health, Mr Jakob Axel Nielsen, is literally walking in the forefront to make Danes live a healthier life. The Secretary´s goal is to take 10.000 steps every day. Measuring every step with a pedometer. Also he is both logging and blogging about his progress online every day. We can only wish that he discovers how to measure his heart rate during exercise as well.

Many smalls steps for one man, but a great step for a healthier country
We wish Secretary Nielsen good luck an applaud him for making a great example out of himself. We do hope that he also logs on to Google Gmaps, to track and visualize those important positive steps even more.

When the spotlight in Germany is on FIBO 2008, the attention in the UK will be on a different spot: this years edition of FitPro 2008. Activio will be present at both venues. Part of the Activio team will jump on an airline and go from Essen to english Loughbourough (if you say it fast it is easier to pronounce).
FitPro 2008 is hosted by Loughbourough University, the UK’s most prestigious sports science and health and fitness university. The exhibition will be located in Sir David Wallace Sports Hall.
So, what will happen at FitPro that draws the attention to Activio and our heart rate based group training system? You will be able to try that for yourself. During FitPro we will launch classes equipped with Activios heart rate meters. You can find the schedule for the sessions here. The classes will be lead by Swedish pro-trainer Monika Bjorn.
So why should you bring yourself all the way to FitPro 2008?
Here are some of the reasons that we found on the homepage of the event, that also works for ourselves.
* Never-seen-before research, theories and exercises
* Great networking and social opportunities
* Innovative presenters delivering cutting-edge sessions
* Open your mind and challenge yourself
* Leading products available for trial or purchase
You may also find some guidelines on who should attend.
We will be at FIBO and FitPro to meet and connect with you first and foremost, but this blog is a great spot to return to for news and reports from both events.
All in all, we hope that everyone would jump on that plane with us from FIBO to FitPro. But we understand the wishful thinking with that scenario. And maybe the pilot would disagree..
Best
