Activio at the Nike Convention in Denmark

It is dual commitment for Activio over the weekend. First, The Academy in Stockholm, and then also the Nike Convention in Danish town Hillerød.

At this weekend’s Nike Convention, as many as 650 participants will gather! And Activio will present several sessions at this convention. If you travel to Hilleröd you will meet the well known instructor Brian Overkaer, from Cycling Online, as the coach of spinning sessions with Activios world leading heart rate system. This Nike Convention is held in Frederiksborgcentret.

The Convention is aimed at those who are interested in the exercise, coaching, health and prevention training. The entire program can be found here.

NIKE Convent 2008 – Stockholm

During the past weekend Stockholm were in focus for people in the fitnessbussiness. Coaches, trainers and others attended the NIKE Convention 2008 at the University of Stockholm campus only a few minutes outside the capital city. More than a thousand participants could gain knowledge, exercise and laughs together around the subject they love – fitness and wellness exercises. Activio was part of the game for the third year in a row. This time ninety participants could jump on a bike for a spinning experience with a Activio chestbelt strapped on to monitor the heart rate during the session. On big screens at the front of the stage, everyone could track their very own heart rate in real-time. One meter for each participant. Twelve such sessions were arranged during the weekend. Most of them packed to the last saddle.

On the Sunday morning Monika Björn from In-Cycle and Matthew Griffiths, EIS, took stage to kick of the day with a energetic and impressive group training spinning session. Afterwords, Matt gave us a short interview about his take on what the Activio system has done for heart rate based group training. This time with the hood down as a champion finishing his match as a winner. He sure was worth it. Matt is a very pleasant person to meet with and we are very happy to have his kind words about the system. As a coach and training facilitator Matt has extensive experience and knowledge. We hope to get back with more moments with Matt about the nuts and bolts of heart rate based exercise.
